MAC Automation is recruiting a Junior Engineer/Technologist to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. This is a great opportunity for a new graduate to build a career in industrial automation, working on a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced environment. You'll receive hands-on mentorship while contributing to real client work as part of a collaborative project team.
What You'll Do
- Program and configure SCADA hosts, RTUs, and PLCs across various platforms
- Support the design, programming, and integration of robotics and automated systems
- Support troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning activities, liaising directly with client stakeholders
- Maintain complete project documentation, including construction packages, as-built records, and return data
- Help deliver project milestones that meet client quality and schedule expectations
- Represent MAC Automation professionally, both with clients and in the broader industry
What You'll Need
- Degree or diploma in Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation, or Computer Science Engineering/Technology (new grads welcome — prior automation experience is a plus, not a requirement)
- Strong troubleshooting instincts, with the ability to propose solutions as issues arise
- Comfort adapting to shifting priorities while meeting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across all levels of the organization and with clients
- Solid computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Working knowledge of VBScript, Access, and SQL Server is an asset
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
