Leads and directs construction crews performing earthwork, underground utility installation, grading, and site development on Morgan Corp.’s heavy civil construction projects. Plans, coordinates, and oversees daily field operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and company standards.

Lead and supervise crews performing earthwork, grading, underground utility installation, and other heavy civil construction activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and direct daily work activities to maintain project schedules and productivity.
- Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and material needs with the Superintendent and Project Manager to support project schedules.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor crew productivity and implement improvements to maximize efficiency.
- Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific requirements.
- Complete required production reports, time records, equipment inspections, safety documentation, and other project records.
- Participate in employee development, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with project leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
Additional Duties
- Coordinate daily work assignments with project leadership and other field personnel.
- Maintain assigned equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Participate in required safety meetings and trainings.
- Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and/or night shifts may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of heavy civil construction experience with progressively increasing leadership responsibilities preferred.
- Experience leading crews performing earthwork, grading, and underground utility installation, or related construction activities preferred.
- Experience readying and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and project schedules preferred.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Position must follow Morgan Corp.'s Fit-for-Duty Physical Program
- Ability to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and/or night shifts as project schedules require.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and other environmental conditions common to heavy civil construction.
- Strong commitment to Morgan Corp.'s safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction plans, specifications, and project schedules.
- Ability to prioritize work, solve problems, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing job site conditions.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites throughout Morgan Corp.'s operating area.
