Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 Base Salary + Commission (Target OTE: $120,000 – $180,000) + Company Vehicle + Comprehensive Benefits

At AT Trench, we are changing the standard for underground safety. We were founded to move far beyond the typical "drop-and-go" rental model, combining a deep, "ground-up" understanding of Colorado’s volatile soil conditions and local utility requirements with a commitment to technical precision. We feature a curated, high-performance inventory. Proudly bilingual and pending WBE/WOSB certification. We partner directly with contractors to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance across every job site.

We are expanding our team and looking for a driven outside sales professional to help us grow our footprint across the Front Range.

Position Overview

We are seeking an aggressive, results-oriented Outside Sales Representative with a proven, existing book of business in the trench shoring, civil construction, underground utility, or heavy equipment rental industry.

In this role, you will leverage your current industry relationships and deep local network to immediately introduce our specialized shoring fleet, steel plates, and engineering solutions to local contractors and utility crews. You won't just be selling rentals; you will act as a trusted technical partner helping clients solve complex excavation challenges safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Leverage Existing Network: Immediately introduce our curated inventory to your established book of contacts in the civil, utility, and earthmoving sectors.
Drive New Business: Prospect aggressively for new accounts, contractors, and subcontractors across the Front Range to continuously expand market share.
Manage the Full Sales Cycle: From initial outreach and site visits to negotiating, and closing rental agreements or equipment sales.
Collaborate on Solutions: Work closely with our technical and operations teams to translate job-site conditions into custom trench protection plans.
Job Site Support: Regularly visit active construction sites to ensure client satisfaction, identify upcoming project phases, and uncover new equipment needs.
Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate CRM records, track competitor activity, and provide regular forecasting updates to management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Proven Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of outside sales experience specifically within the trench shoring, heavy construction equipment rental, or underground utility industry.
Established Book of Business: Must possess a strong, transferable network of active contacts (contractors, superintendents, project managers, and foremen) in the local construction market.
Technical Aptitude: A solid understanding of OSHA trenching and excavation safety standards, soil mechanics/conditions, and the ability to read civil plans to determine shoring requirements.
Bilingual Advantage: Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is a strong plus, helping us seamlessly support diverse crews across the region.
Results-Driven: A hunter mentality with a consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas and growing territory revenue.
Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and closing skills.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to occasionally walk active, rugged construction job sites along the Front Range.

Compensation and What We Offer

Base Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 (commensurate with experience).
Lucrative Earning Potential: Target On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $120,000 – $180,000 featuring an uncapped, performance-based commission structure rewarding rental revenue, equipment sales, and your existing book of business.
