Full Job Description

DISC Surgery Center stands as the epitome of excellence in spine care, orthopedics, interventional pain management, and sports medicine. Our cutting-edge facilities, strategically located in Newport Beach, Marina Del Rey, Thousand Oaks, Walnut Creek, and Valencia, represent the pinnacle of innovation in minimally invasive surgical solutions. Our commitment to pioneering medical advancements is showcased through our state-of-the-art outpatient surgery centers and full-service clinics.

DISC Surgery Center is seeking a Per Diem Surgical Technologist for our Thousand Oaks location. Our Thousand Oaks location has two operating rooms and specializes in Spine, Orthopedic, and Pain Management surgeries. This position would have a varied schedule, between Monday - Friday.

In this position, you will:

Assists with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures.
Assist with skin preparations and with draping of patients
Assists with care, preparation, maintenance, and after-care of sterile and un-sterile supplies and equipment.
Removes drapes at the end of the procedure, cleanses the patients of prep solution, and applies dressing as needed.
Clean and disinfect instruments and equipment after use
Participate in sponge, instrument, and needle count with the circulating nurse.
Assists with stocking, replenishing, and preparation of supplies.
Checks updated schedule every morning and prepares room supplies and equipment.
Back up materials manager in placing orders for supplies and implants.

To ensure success in this role, you should be a:

Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technician Program.
Must have working experience with Orthopedic and spine surgeries
Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or current BCLS certification

Pay range: $30.00 - $45.00/hour
