Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Driver and Caregiver, where your passion for helping others meets the rewarding challenge of providing exceptional care in aquatic and community settings. In this vital role, you will assist individuals with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being through hands-on support, attentive observation, and compassionate caregiving. Whether working in a community pool environment or assisting clients in their homes or care facilities, your energy and dedication will make a meaningful difference every day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to blend physical activity with heartfelt service, fostering independence and enhancing quality of life for those you serve.

Responsibilities

Safely assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall health status during activities and care routines
Operate specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury
Provide attentive patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, especially for those with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or developmental disabilities
Administer medications following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient responses, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards

Skills

Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings with a focus on senior or disability care
Knowledge of infection control practices including cleaning protocols and sanitation procedures
Strong ability to work with individuals with autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory impairments
Certification in CPR and First Aid is required
Experience with patient monitoring tools and vital signs measurement techniques
Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and engaging compassionately with clients
