Full Job Description

Part-Time Bar and Floor Manager

House of Bamboo is a tiki bar and restaurant on Ventura Blvd, designed by Notch Gonzalez, with a cocktail program by Dushan Zarić. Big room, full most nights, great regulars, awesome staff, and fun vibes! We need somebody to run it a few days a week.

You'd own:

Guests, wait times, complaints, comps and voids in Toast, floor cuts, pre-shift lineups.
Weekly orders, monthly counts, pars, COGS, vendors, the equipment
Schedules in Sling, call-out coverage, onboarding, training, and the hard conversations when they come.
Drawers, safe drops, shift logs.
Staff education and training, including maintaining and updating our operations app

What We're Looking For
Somebody who's run a busy room, who's organized in a way people can see, who can correct an employee on Saturday and be normal with them on Sunday, and who manages from the floor instead of from their phone.

Tiki is escapism. Umbrellas, smoke, drinks on fire, a room that refuses to take itself seriously. You have to actually enjoy that or the whole thing gets stiff.

What We're Offering:
$27-35 an hour. Eight hour shifts and real breaks, which we know isn't true everywhere. Shift meal. Training on the clock.

You Should Have:
Three years in bars or restaurants, at least one managing or leading shifts. Food Handler and RBS, or get them before your first shift. 21 or over.
