Sophea Interior Designs is a fast-paced, high-end residential design firm specializing in luxury spec homes, new construction, and major renovations. Our work encompasses interior architecture, custom cabinetry and millwork, finishes, lighting, furniture, and complete interior design.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager who is confident working independently and capable of taking a project from concept through completion.
This is a hands-on position working closely with the owner and design team. The right candidate will be involved in the full 360° design process, from interior architecture and space planning through construction, installation, and final styling.
We are looking for someone with strong initiative, high work ethics, accountability, and a genuine sense of ownership. You should be someone who sees what needs to be done, takes action, follows through, and does not require constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned residential projects from initial design through final installation
- Work directly with the owner on design development and project decisions
- Develop interior architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents
- Design and document custom cabinetry and millwork
- Develop finish, lighting, plumbing, hardware, and furniture selections
- Create and maintain detailed Revit models and documentation
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, vendors, and fabricators
- Attend client and site meetings
- Review shop drawings, specifications, and construction details
- Maintain project schedules, deliverables, selections, and revisions
- Monitor project progress and communicate issues before they become problems
- Coordinate design intent through construction and installation
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in interior design, interior architecture, or architecture
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field
- Strong understanding of U.S. residential construction, codes, and standards
- Experience with high-end residential projects
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry, millwork, materials, finishes, fixtures, and furniture
- Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, engineering, and construction drawings
- Advanced understanding of residential interior architecture and documentation
Software Skills
Required:
- Revit — Proficient to Advanced
- AutoCAD 2D
- Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, InDesign, etc.
- Google Drive and Google Sheets
Preferred:
- Revit rendering plug-ins
- SketchUp
- V-Ray or other rendering software
- Rhino
- Experience using AI tools for design, visualization, documentation, research, or workflow improvement

Must be highly proficient in producing and understanding:
