Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will handle complex tax compliance and planning strategies, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws. Your expertise will support our clients’ tax and financial goals through meticulous tax reporting, regulatory compliance, and innovative tax solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your extensive tax experience within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will drive success in managing diverse tax projects, including estate planning, corporate tax, and financial reporting.

Duties

Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts with precision and compliance.
Provide knowledgeable guidance on tax planning strategies, including trusts and estates to assist clients in achieving long-term goals in a tax-efficient manner.
Utilize accounting software such as Lacerte, QuickBooks (Desktop, Enterprise & Online), Sage, Xero, or similar tools for accurate financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
Collaborate with clients to interpret tax returns, financial reports, analyze account data and develop tailored tax strategies.
Act as a trusted advisor by building deep, long-term relationships with clients built around proactive communication.

Requirements

Proven experience in tax accounting or public accounting with a focus on individual tax, corporate tax expertise, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of tax law, tax compliance procedures, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software with QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or equivalent; familiarity with financial software is essential. Experience with Lacerte and Practice Management software preferred.
Ability to successfully communicate complex technical information clearly to clients and team members.
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail; capable of handling multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
CPA or EA strongly preferred. Candidates for either are strongly encouraged to apply.
