Assistant Store Manager — Future Store Manager
Turner’s Furniture | Tifton, GA Area
Pay Range: $60,000–$80,000+ per year
LEAD. GROW. MAKE AN IMPACT.
At Turner’s Furniture, we believe great leadership starts with people.
Our leaders are passionate about taking care of our guests, developing great teams, and delivering strong results.
Every day, our teams have the opportunity to make a difference. We help families create homes they love. We listen to our guests, understand what matters to them, and help them make confident decisions that improve their homes and their lives.
At the same time, we invest in our people—coaching them, challenging them, recognizing their accomplishments, and helping them reach their full potential.
When our guests win, our team wins, and our business wins.
We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager who wants to make that happen.
This position is designed for a motivated retail leader who is ready to grow, take on greater responsibility, and prepare for the opportunity to eventually lead their own Turner’s Furniture store.
If you’re driven by results but equally passionate about people, service, and developing others, we want to meet you.
WHAT GREAT LEADERSHIP LOOKS LIKE
As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll work alongside experienced Turner’s leaders while learning every aspect of running a successful store. More importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact on both our guests and our team. You’ll:
- Put our guests first. Help create an environment where every guest feels welcomed, heard, respected, and confident in their purchase.
- Develop your team. Coach, encourage, challenge, and support Sales Professionals as they work toward their personal and professional goals.
- Lead from the front. Be present and engaged on the sales floor, helping your team navigate opportunities and deliver exceptional experiences.
- Drive strong results. Set clear expectations and help the team achieve sales and performance goals while maintaining our commitment to the guest.
- Celebrate success. Recognize great performance, improvement, teamwork, and the moments when our people go above and beyond.
- Create accountability. Have the conversations that help people improve while setting clear and consistent expectations.
- Build a great culture. Help create an environment where people enjoy coming to work, support one another, and take pride in what they accomplish together.
- Learn every aspect of running a successful Turner’s Furniture location.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, merchandising, and performance management.
- Step into leadership coverage throughout the Albany and Tifton markets when needed.
- Prepare for the opportunity to eventually lead your own Turner’s Furniture store.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who believes great results and taking care of people go hand in hand.
Someone who wants to succeed—but wants their team to succeed with them.
Someone who can challenge people while supporting them.
Someone who takes ownership when things don’t go as planned and celebrates the team when they do.
And someone who understands that the best sales organizations aren't built by simply selling more—they're built by earning trust, developing people, and consistently taking care of the guest.
You could be a great fit if you:
- Have 2+ years of retail leadership or management experience.
- Have a strong track record of sales performance and delivering results.
- Enjoy coaching people and helping them improve.
- Know how to set expectations and hold people accountable.
- Believe in recognizing and celebrating great performance.
- Understand that taking care of the guest comes first.
- Bring energy, optimism, and consistency to work.
- Are comfortable making decisions and taking ownership.
- Want to continue learning and developing as a leader.
- Are available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Are willing to travel throughout the Albany and Tifton areas and pursue future advancement opportunities.
Furniture, commission sales, or high-ticket retail experience is a plus—but leadership ability, character, drive, and a genuine passion for helping people succeed matter most.
