Job Description: Talent Acquisition Coordinator

Position Type: Full-Time

Overview

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for managing and supporting full-cycle recruitment efforts for PLCCA, a non-profit community action agency. This role is critical to attracting, screening, and hiring qualified candidates committed to PLCCA’s mission and values. In addition to recruitment, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support employee relations activities and assist in maintaining a positive, compliant, and engaged workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will have experience in talent acquisition within a social service, non-profit, or mission-driven environment and possess a strong background in both recruitment and employee relations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

Manage full-cycle recruitment for agency-wide positions, including program, administrative, leadership, and grant-funded roles.
Develop and post job advertisements; screen candidates, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate hiring processes with managers.
Partner with leadership on staffing needs and workforce planning priorities.
Maintain applicant tracking systems, recruitment records, and hiring metrics in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.
Support onboarding and pre-employment processes, including background checks, references, and offer letters.
Represent PLCCA at job fairs and recruitment events; perform additional duties as assigned.

Employee Relations Support

Assist the Director of Human Resources with employee relations matters, including documentation, investigations, and resolution support.
Serve as an HR resource to employees and supervisors regarding policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
Support conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes in alignment with agency policies and employment laws.

Compliance & HR Administration

Ensure recruitment and employee relations practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Maintain accurate, confidential employee and applicant records.
Support audits, grant compliance, reporting requirements, and job description updates to align with program needs.

Mission Alignment & Community Focus

Promote PLCCA’s mission, values, and commitment to serving diverse communities throughout the recruitment and hiring process.

Qualifications

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, and employee relations.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
Organization: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and sensitive data.
Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for travel between local PLCCA sites.
Education: AA degree in HR or Business preferred; equivalent experience considered.
