Production Manager:
Summary:
Oversee, manage, and plan all production in shop to ensure monthly production goals are met.
FULFILL ON MONTHLY PRODUCTION PLAN
PLANNING & SCHEDULING
Use Production Pipeline and Budgets as provided by D.O.P. to populate the Optimizer and digital schedules for the upcoming month (follows 1st/2nd Half Release for Fabrication meetings).
Schedule work to maximize production revenue and minimize cost of goods to fulfill on monthly production plan.
Maintain and update all schedules DAILY as needed. Print revised schedule for distribution to the shop.
Weekly production schedule is presented and reviewed with Team Leaders every Friday afternoon (Weekly Buy- in meeting).
Update Optimizer to include the actual production labor and material costs so an accurate COG% is presented.
Meet with Project Manager to review drawings and details of upcoming projects on weekly basis. (Post Kick-off,
Pre-Classroom, and Weekly Schedule Meetings)
Host weekly classroom meeting to go over project details, buildability, and methods with the Team Leaders before new projects start.
PURCHASE ORDERS & INVENTORY
Create material Purchase Orders weekly for the production work two weeks ahead. Includes providing accurate vendor information, product information and quantities, and a price quote with the final cost including tax and shipping.
Ensure the material Purchase Orders do not exceed the weekly budget or cost of goods target.
Ensure each Production Crew"s inventory report is submitted on a weekly basis prior to the purchase order submission.
Maintain status confirmation of material purchase orders received in coordination with Shop Foreman.
Maintain communication with vendors to ensure all material arrives on schedule.
Perform monthly tool inventory check.
Ensure tool inventory is adequate to maintain the production revenue and coordinate the repair or replacement of any tools as needed.
Monitor material and tool usage to eliminate waste or breakdowns.
SHOP OPERATIONS
Meet with Team Leaders every AM (6:30am Morning Production Meeting) to address the shop culture (attendance, cleanliness, rule compliance, events, etc.) Shop Foreman will address the daily production activities.
Ensure Quality Checkpoint forms are complete daily as projects require.
Ensure Tracking Sheets are completed daily as projects require.
Ensure Project Budgets are being complete daily as projects require.
Host End of Day Production Review with Team Leaders. Confirm all work and activities for the day are complete per schedule. Update Schedule and Optimizer accordingly. Review the next day"s work and activities.
Monitor employee time sheets for tardiness, missed time punches, or absences. Approve or Deny employee time off requests. Ensure employees follow company attendance policy.
Ensure the production facility and each crew"s work areas are kept clean and organized per company standards.
Ensure employees are following all shop rules and regulations. Discipline employees as needed for failure to comply with company rules.
Coordinate with Shop Foreman and Project Manager on timing and set-up of product deliveries.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Oversee and develop Health & Safety plan, including any Job Hazard Analysis, OHSA compliance, and accident investigation.
Coordinate with Cintas to provide monthly safety meetings/classes per coordinated curriculum.
Maintain proper record of all health and safety documents (SDS binders, attendance logs, training logs, etc.)
Ensure all employees are following the health & safety guidelines of the company.
Ensure all equipment undergoes appropriate safety checks and provide repair/replacement as needed.
SHIPPING & RECIEVING
Coordinate and book all trucks for product deliveries as per the Weekly Schedule meeting.
Ensure all paperwork for product deliveries is complete and maintained (BOL, Packing Lists of material in each crate, Crate Labels, and any other paperwork).
Manage the safe loading of the truck and take photos prior to truck leaving.
Receive any material deliveries to the shop. Stage in the shipping/receiving area. Log delivery slips to Production so all received product is logged.
Ensure all received material for the day is placed in the appropriate section.
TOOL INVENTORY
Collect tools in need of repair or replacement from Team Leaders, red tag the tool, and log into the Tool status list.
Sending any tools out for service.
Log, register for warranty, and tag any new tools or received repaired tools before distributing to the crews.
Perform monthly toolbox inventory check with Team Leaders.

Salary Range - $120,000.00 - $130,000.00
