JOB SUMMARY
As a Lab Analyst, you will perform and document routine and specialized laboratory tasks in both our Chemistry and Microbiology labs. You’ll play a key role in supporting our water treatment operations by analyzing environmental samples, conducting quality control tests, and assisting with cutting-edge research that directly contributes to our success. Your work will help ensure the highest standards in our water treatment processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform quality control tests on Apex products
- Perform laboratory testing on water treatment-related samples – typical equipment involved includes ion chromatography (IC), inductively coupled plasma (ICP), spectrophotometers, and wet method tests
- Perform corrosion coupon and deposit analyses
- Assist with reagent inventory management
- Provide laboratory support such as daily calibration of balances, maintain instrument use manuals, and maintain general use forms and labels
- Prepare solutions and reagents, general laboratory record keeping and cleaning, and assist with inventory on an as-needed basis
- Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines
- Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology
- Experience working in a laboratory setting
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills, with a solid understanding of laboratory techniques and equipment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and high standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and document findings
- Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems and techniques in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated team player who demonstrates integrity, leadership ability, and strong social skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- IC and ICP experience
- Experience working in a Chemistry lab setting
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is between $21 - $24 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
