Full Job Description

Titusville Area Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to join our Patient Financial Services team. If you have medical billing experience, enjoy solving problems, and are committed to providing excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you!

In this role, you'll be responsible for processing insurance claims, following up on outstanding accounts, assisting patients and insurance companies, and ensuring accurate, timely billing.

What You'll Do

Prepare and submit insurance claims electronically and by paper.
Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing issues.
Contact insurance companies and patients regarding outstanding balances.
Process payments, adjustments, and refunds as needed.
Verify insurance coverage and understand payer-specific billing requirements.
Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
Monitor aging reports and work to resolve outstanding accounts.
Answer patient and insurance inquiries professionally and courteously.
Generate billing reports as requested.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable billing regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of recent medical billing experience (within the past three years).
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous dental billing experience.
Knowledge of medical coding, insurance billing, and third-party payer processes.
Familiarity with business office procedures and healthcare reimbursement.
