Full Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Warehouse Manager will handle daily operations of the warehouse, including freight, shipping and receiving, returns and transfers. The successful applicant will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the warehouse team and provide impeccable customer service to our clients.

Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; supervising staff
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
Controls and manages inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
Supervises warehouse employees and oversee daily operations
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Performs general maintenance of machinery used in the warehouse, inspect condition of tools and equipment
Enforce all company rules and regulations
Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job
Establish and maintain the continuous flow process to ensure timely delivery to the internal and external customers
Train, coach and manage all receiving and shipping associates in all policies and procedures of the company
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Position Requirements
HS Diploma, BS/BA in Supply Chain, Logistics or relative field advanced degree preferred, Materials/Inventory Management background desirable
5-10 years of previous Warehouse Management Experience
Inventory Management Experience
Strong oral, written communication skills
Experience in Supervision, Developing Budgets, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information , Equipment Maintenance, JudgmentProven experience as Warehouse/Receiving & Shipping managerExperience in using EDI, WMS, wireless networking, bar codes, RF bar code scanners, and preparing shipping documents (i.e. ASN)Good understanding of budgeting and reportingExcellent organizational and communication skillsData driven, analytical and Problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail
Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
Computer knowledge with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
Strong SAP experience with SD, WM modules is highly preferred and desirable
