We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and service-focused Human Resources Administrator to join our growing Human Resources team. As our Human Resources Administrator, you will play an essential role in supporting the entire employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding through employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, payroll support, and HR operations.

Talbot Health Services provides compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment throughout Northwest Ohio. Our continuum of care includes outpatient services, residential treatment, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), intensive outpatient programming, case management, and recovery support services.

The Human Resources Administrator serves as a key member of the Human Resources team, supporting employees, managers, and leadership through responsive service, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
This position is responsible for coordinating a wide range of Human Resources functions including recruitment support, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, payroll assistance, policy administration, compliance, employee engagement, HR reporting, and special projects.
Success in this role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, discretion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding employee service.
Provide exceptional customer service to employees and managers by serving as a trusted HR resource for questions regarding policies, benefits, employment processes, payroll, leave administration, and workplace procedures.
Assist with posting positions, reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, preparing employment offers, coordinating pre-employment requirements, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation scheduling, employment documentation, background checks, drug screenings, I-9 compliance, HRIS setup, personnel files, and new employee communications to ensure every employee starts successfully.
Accurately maintain employee records, HRIS information, compliance documentation, personnel files, employment changes, and confidential records while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Assist employees with benefit enrollment, qualifying life events, payroll questions, timekeeping issues, leave administration, employment verifications, and HR documentation while partnering closely with payroll and leadership.
Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws while assisting with audits, policy administration, record retention, regulatory reporting, and continuous process improvement.
Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities and applicant communications.
Schedule interviews and partner with hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation.
Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
Maintain employee personnel files and confidential HR records.
Process employment status changes, promotions, transfers, and separations.
Assist with benefits administration and employee benefit questions.
Support payroll processing and timekeeping administration.
Maintain HRIS records and ensure data accuracy.
Process employment verification requests.
Assist with leave administration, accommodations, and employee documentation.
Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
Assist with investigations, corrective action documentation, and policy administration.
Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics.
Support compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
Assist with additional Human Resources projects as assigned.

Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of Human Resources or professional administrative experience.
Working knowledge of employment laws and Human Resources best practices.
Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
Previous healthcare, behavioral health, or human services experience.
Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration.
Experience with applicant tracking systems and HR reporting.
