Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, managing a

team of production, quality and material staff, and ensuring that production targets are met safely,

efficiently, and on schedule. This role requires a balance of technical manufacturing knowledge and

strong leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

 Planning: Translate demand data into actionable production plans that drive maximum volume.

 Operational Oversight: Coordinate daily workflow to meet production schedules. Monitor

throughput, identify bottlenecks, and adjust resource allocation to maintain optimal efficiency.

 Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor production personnel. Conduct performance

reviews, manage shift schedules, and handle conflict resolution or disciplinary actions as

needed.

 Safety & Compliance: Enforce all safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Conduct regular safety

audits and ensure the team maintains a clean, hazard-free work environment (5S). Ensure all

start up checks are completed and notify management of any abnormalities immediately.

 Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality department to ensure all products meet

customer specifications. Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective actions.

 Process Improvement: Lead or participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, Six Sigma)

to reduce waste, decrease downtime, and improve overall operational costs.

 Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production outputs, labor hours, and equipment

downtime. Report daily KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to the Plant Manager.

 Any other tasks assigned by plant manager.

Required Qualifications & Skills

 Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or

Supply Chain preferred.

 Experience: 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

 Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP/MRP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.

 Leadership: Proven ability to motivate teams and drive a culture of accountability.

 Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot mechanical issues or logistical delays.

 Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental

collaboration.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
