The Table Mountain Companies are co-owned by Kyle Humphrys and Zack Dahl, with Kyle bringing extensive experience in managing construction sites across the Pacific Northwest.
- Table Mountain Companies: Specializes in forestry services, including road maintenance and construction, excavation for commercial and residential projects, and rock crushing operations.
We are growing across multiple business lines—waste & recycling, heavy civil construction, transportation, and quarry/mining—and we’re looking for a Fleet & Facilities Supervisor to help lead our operational success.
The Fleet & Facilities Supervisor provides advanced operational leadership across all fleet and facility functions for Dahl Companies and Table Mountain. This role supports multiple business units—including waste & recycling collection, transportation, excavation, and quarry/mining—by ensuring equipment readiness, facility maintenance, safety compliance, and efficient shop operations. This position acts as the key link between frontline maintenance teams and works with the leadership team, driving daily performance while helping shape departmental improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily maintenance and repair planning for waste collection trucks, roll-offs, tractors, dump trucks, and heavy equipment used in excavation and mining.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly inspected, serviced, and ready for field operations and route commitments.
- Coordinate with operations leaders to prioritize equipment needs across multiple business units and locations.
- Lead advanced troubleshooting, repair decision-making, and scheduling for high-priority or complex jobs.
- Monitor telematics, diagnostics, and fleet data to identify performance issues and reduce downtime. Assess and report with team daily, weekly and monthly on downtime of equipment and vehicles. This includes unscheduled site repairs, or door calls.
- Continued review and communication regarding improvements to current preventative maintenance programs.
- Research, propose, and understand a new fleet and facilities electronic program to oversee all DVIR, workorders, parts management, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Facilities Oversight
- Supervise maintenance and upkeep of shops, yards, fueling areas, wash bays, storage facilities and all operational facilities. Ensure work areas overseen are kept clean and orderly
- Coordinate contractor work, facility repairs, and safety inspections to maintain compliance and operational readiness.
- Support planning and execution of facility improvements, reorganizations, and efficiency upgrades.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead technicians, mechanics and facility maintenance staff, across multiple locations.
- Provide training, task oversight, and day-to-day directions to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity.
- Align the team with company goals while reinforcing best practices in maintenance and facility operations.
Budget & Cost Control Support
- Manage daily operational costs, including parts purchasing, repairs, shop supplies, and vendor services.
- Utilize team to work on equipment while minimizing outside repairs through effective maintenance scheduling.
- Track R&M spending and report variances to Operations Manager and CFO
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through improved preventive maintenance, parts sourcing, and workflow planning.
- Work with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing. Assist in forecasting maintenance needs based on equipment, lifecycle, and usage.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to DOT, OSHA, environmental, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct routine safety inspections for fleet, shops, and facilities.
- Work with the leadership team to reinforce proper pre/post trip inspections and safe operating practices across divisions.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in fleet maintenance, heavy equipment repair, or waste/recycling fleet operations.
- Knowledge of diesel systems, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and industry regulations.
- Experience leading technicians or maintenance teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work across multiple divisions and prioritize equipment for time-sensitive operations.
- Proficiency with fleet management software and telematics tools
- Ability to lead, by example, through working with team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining heavy duty diesel vehicles, waste collection vehicles and yellow iron.
- Proficient with DOT, OSHA, and industry regulations.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency with fleet management software.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
