Role Summary
We are seeking a hardworking and proactive Brick Tender to support our masonry crews. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the logistical success of the job site—managing material flow, preparing mortar, and ensuring that Masons have everything they need to work efficiently. You will also handle the transportation of equipment and maintain a safe, organized workspace from setup to teardown.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Material Management
· Site Preparation: Transport tools and materials to and from job sites; examine layouts to assist in preparing the work surface before masonry begins.
· Supply Chain: Monitor the workflow to ensure bricks, blocks, and mortar are consistently placed and ready for the Masons to use without delay.
· Transportation: Safely drive company trucks and trailers; perform pre-trip inspections to ensure loads are secure and equipment is in good working order.
· Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report any necessary repairs for trucks, trailers, mixers, or power tools to the supervisor or shop mechanics.
Technical Support
· Mortar Preparation: Demonstrate profound knowledge in mixing cement and mortar to exact proportions and consistency for various applications.
· Assistance: Perform secondary masonry tasks such as cutting or sawing bricks to specific sizes and assisting with the physical construction of walls and walkways.
· Project Support: Stay on-site until the project is finalized to ensure all tools are cleaned, accounted for, and returned to the shop.
Safety & Coordination
· Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE (hard hats, safety glasses).
· Hazard Control: Maintain a clean, trip-free environment; immediately correct safety hazards or report them to the Foreman.
· Teamwork: Coordinate closely with the Mason or Foreman in charge to understand specific project expectations and daily goals.

Qualifications & Requirements
· Physical Stamina: Must be in excellent physical shape, capable of heavy lifting and maintaining high energy levels throughout the workday.
· Driving Credentials: Valid driver’s license with a clean record and experience operating trucks/trailers with heavy loads.
· Technical Skills: Basic understanding of masonry tools and the ability to operate a mortar mixer effectively.
· Reliability: Strong interpersonal skills and a "team-first" mentality; must be committed to ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
· Education: Prior experience on a construction site or in a labor-intensive role is preferred.
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
