Full Job Description

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in Toledo OH, area. This position offers a variety of great benefits.

Machine Designer

Location: Toledo, OH

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys creating custom mechanical designs in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Design custom machinery and mechanical equipment using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings
Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation
Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical engineering, and project management teams throughout the design process
Modify and improve existing machine designs based on customer or production requirements
Ensure designs meet company standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during fabrication and assembly
Assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

5+ years of machine design experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks (experience with both is a plus)
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, fabrication methods, and machine components
Experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Ability to interpret engineering specifications and customer requirements
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing custom automation or industrial machinery
Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and motion control systems
Familiarity with machining, welding, and manufacturing processes
Experience working in a project-based engineering environment
