About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Lead Machinist to oversee precision manufacturing operations and drive production excellence. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise in programming and setup to optimize workflows, mentor team members, and ensure the highest quality standards for our complex components.

Responsibilities

Execute complex setups and programming for CNC Swiss lathes to meet rigorous production schedules.
Drive process improvements and cycle time optimization to maximize manufacturing efficiency.
Utilize advanced metrology tools, including CMM and vision systems, to verify part accuracy and GD&T compliance.
Lead floor operations by delegating tasks and providing technical guidance to junior operators.
Manage raw material procurement and inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Conduct thorough quality inspections and maintain a culture of safety and high performance across the shop floor.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Extensive experience with CNC Swiss machining and multi-axis lathe operations.
Proficiency in reading and applying complex GD&T specifications.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage production workflows.
Strong computer literacy with experience in ERP systems and CAM software.
Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience in a high-mix, high-precision machine shop environment.
Formal training or certification in CNC programming or machine repair.
Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing or process optimization initiatives.
Experience mentoring or training staff in technical manufacturing environments.
