Full Job Description

Foley’s Tree Service is looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused person to join our office team.

This is a year-round position for someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable with computers, and can stay organized in a busy environment. You will be one of the first people our customers speak with and will play an important role in keeping our office running smoothly.

We are looking for more than someone to simply answer phones. Our ideal candidate wants to learn the business, develop new skills, and take on additional responsibilities as they gain experience.

Schedule

This is a year-round position with seasonal hours:

November through April: Approximately 25-35 hours per week
May through October: Approximately 35–45 hours per week

Applicants must be comfortable with the increased workload and hours during our busy summer season.

Compensation

$19–$24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation as skills develop

Primary Responsibilities

Answer incoming phone calls in a friendly and professional manner
Assist walk-in customers with a wide variety of questions
Gather complete and accurate information from customers requesting estimates or services
Accept and process customer payments
Enter and update customer information in company software
Communicate with customers by phone, email, and in person
Assist with customer records, paperwork, and daily administrative tasks
Learn our services, service area, and company procedures
Communicate effectively with estimators, crews, management, and other office staff
Assist with scheduling, coordination, and other office responsibilities as knowledge and experience grow
Provide support and coverage in different areas of the office as needed

Comfortable with computers and able to learn new software quickly
Friendly, patient, and focused on providing excellent customer service
Professional when communicating by phone, email, and in person
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Accurate when entering information and processing payments
Dependable and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
Able to remain positive and professional during busy or stressful days
Comfortable asking questions and learning new information
Adaptable and willing to assist wherever needed
Interested in developing additional skills and responsibilities over time

Previous office, customer service, scheduling, or administrative experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
