Full Job Description

You won't be joining an established sales territory.You'll be helping build one.

ZSIGHT is ZTERS' intelligent waste-monitoring platform that combines IoT sensors, imaging technology, and analytics to help waste haulers, municipalities, property managers, and commercial customers make better service decisions. The platform provides real-time visibility into container fullness, service verification, and operational efficiency opportunities.

As National Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for introducing ZSIGHT to the market, developing strategic customer relationships, and converting opportunities into long-term recurring revenue.

This role requires someone comfortable speaking with both operators and executives. One conversation may be with a route manager discussing service frequency. The next may be with a CEO evaluating a fleet-wide technology investment.

You will work directly with company leadership and play a significant role in shaping how the product is positioned, sold, and expanded across the country.

What You'll Own:

1.New Business Development

Identify, engage, and develop new opportunities across a national territory, including:

Waste haulers
Municipalities
Property managers
Commercial and industrial customers
Multi-location enterprises

2.Executive-Level Prospecting

Initiate conversations with owners, presidents, CEOs, directors, and operational leaders who influence purchasing decisions.

Develop relationships that move beyond a single sale and create long-term strategic partnerships.

3.Consultative Selling

Understand customer operations, challenges, and objectives before recommending solutions.

Translate technical product capabilities into measurable business outcomes, including:

Reduced service costs
Improved route efficiency
Service verification
Asset visibility
Operational intelligence

4.Sales Cycle Management

Own opportunities from initial outreach through contract execution.

Responsibilities include:

Prospecting
Discovery
Product demonstrations
Proposal development
Negotiation
Contract execution
Handoff to customer onboarding

5.Pipeline Ownership

Maintain an active and accurate pipeline within CRM systems.

Track activity, forecast revenue, and maintain visibility into opportunities, risks, and expected outcomes.

6.Market Development

Represent ZSIGHT at industry conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and networking events.

Identify emerging opportunities and provide feedback that helps shape product direction and go-to-market strategy.

7.Internal Collaboration

Work closely with the Executive Team, Marketing, Digital Development, Operations, and Customer Success teams to ensure a consistent customer experience from first conversation through implementation.

Consistently generating qualified opportunities
Conducting independent demonstrations
Advancing deals through the sales process

Producing recurring revenue through new customer acquisition
Building relationships with key industry decision-makers
Contributing market intelligence that influences growth strategy

What We're Looking For:

Required

3–5 years of B2B sales experience
Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Experience prospecting and engaging decision-makers
Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
Experience managing opportunities through a full sales cycle
Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment

Strongly Preferred

SaaS sales experience
IoT, telematics, fleet technology, or industrial technology experience
Waste management or environmental services industry experience
Experience selling operational technology to enterprise customers
Demonstrated success selling subscription-based solutions

Compensation & Benefits:

$100,000+ annual compensation target based on experience and performance
