We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and technically minded Quotation Specialist to support our sales partners and manufacturer representatives through accurate estimates, clear documentation, and timely technical guidance.
Position Overview
The Quotations Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate project estimates and providing technical documentation and support for LEDI’s lighting systems. This role serves as a key link between sales, manufacturer representatives, and installers, ensuring that project specifications are clearly understood, accurately quoted, and properly documented from initial request through completion.
This is a detail-oriented, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys translating technical requirements into estimates, layouts, and solutions. The position requires strong organizational skills, responsiveness to time-sensitive requests, and proficiency in design and markup software to help minimize installation errors and support successful project execution. This technical role requires a strong customer-service mindset, with an emphasis on being approachable, responsive, and helpful to both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Project Quoting & Estimating
- Prepare accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for lighting systems based on project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer rep requests.
- Review architectural plans and lighting layouts to identify scope requirements, constraints, and potential risks.
- Ensure pricing accuracy, margin awareness, and consistency with approved products and configurations.
- Perform accurate calculations for material quantities, lengths, power requirements, and pricing to ensure reliable and complete project quotes.
Technical Drawings & Documentation
- Develop clear, installer-ready wiring diagrams and connection layouts to minimize field errors and rework.
- Create and revise drawings using Corel Draw, Bluebeam, and occasional AutoCAD 2D & 3D to support project execution.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
Manufacturer Rep & Sales Support
- Respond promptly to manufacturer representative inquiries related to pricing, product options, and technical details.
- Provide technical clarification and recommendations to support quoting, submittals, and project approvals.
- Collaborate with internal sales teams to align project scope, timelines, and customer expectations.
Project Updates and Revisions
- Track quotes and projects from initial request through completion, ensuring timely updates and follow-through.
- Manage revisions resulting from scope changes, pricing adjustments, or quotation updates.
- Communicate status updates and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.
Quality Control & Risk Reduction
- Review estimates and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
- Identify potential installation challenges and proactively address them through documentation or clarification.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce errors, improve turnaround time, and enhance project consistency.
Process & Knowledge Management
- Maintain standardized templates, documentation practices, and estimating guidelines.
- Capture lessons learned and best practices to improve future quoting and design accuracy.
- Assist in refining workflows and tools to support scalability and efficiency as project volume grows.
Experience & Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in project quoting, estimating, technical support, or a related role within lighting, electrical, construction, or a similar technical environment.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and lighting plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate estimates, wiring diagrams, and documentation under deadline pressure.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to support manufacturer reps, installers, and internal sales teams.
- Strong aptitude for basic math, including unit conversions, and quantity calculations all related to project estimating.
Preferred:
- Experience in Corel Draw, Bluebeam, AutoCAD 2D & 3D or similar drafting software.
- Background in LED tape light systems, low-voltage lighting, or architectural lighting products.
- Experience supporting manufacturer representatives or sales teams in a technical capacity.
- Understanding of basic electrical principles, wiring methods, and installation best practices.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical, design, engineering, or construction-related field.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
