Job Summary

Shore Endodontics is seeking a professional, organized, and friendly Dental Receptionist / Billing specialist. This role is crucial for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring the smooth administrative operation of our office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong ability to manage a variety of front office tasks with efficiency and a patient-first focus.

Responsibilities

Patient Welcome & Management:

Warmly greet patients and visitors, ensuring a comfortable and friendly environment.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying patient information and ensuring all necessary forms are completed.

Scheduling & Communication:

Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries, and scheduling new and follow-up appointments.
Optimize the appointment schedule to ensure efficient patient flow and productivity.
Confirm patient appointments and manage appointment changes or cancellations.
Act as a liaison between patients and clinical staff.

Administrative & Clerical Support:

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the dental practice management software Dentrix.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and electronic communications.
Collect co-payments, deductibles, and other patient payments, processing them accurately and securely.
Assist with basic billing and insurance inquiries, directing more complex issues to the billing specialist.

Office Maintenance & Compliance:

Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
Manage office supplies and assist with other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Proficiency in dental practice management software (Dentrix)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional phone demeanor.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
