Quality Director
Capper Foundation | Topeka, Kansas
Make an Impact. Lead Quality. Help Us Build Abilities Together.
Capper Foundation is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Quality Director to lead quality assurance, compliance, licensing, and continuous improvement across our Adult Services programs.
This is a great opportunity for someone who understands IDD and HCBS services, enjoys digging into regulations and data, and can turn compliance requirements into practical processes that help teams provide exceptional services.
What You’ll Do
As our Quality Director, you’ll play an important role in ensuring Capper Foundation continues to provide high-quality, person-centered services. You will:
- Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts across Adult Services.
- Coordinate and support KDADS licensing and regulatory compliance activities in collaboration with leadership, Directors, and Managers.
- Prepare for and participate in licensing reviews, audits, surveys, and corrective action processes.
- Monitor compliance with HCBS requirements, KDADS regulations, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal standards.
- Conduct documentation and record reviews to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Help ensure services and documentation reflect person-centered practices and the rights, choices, and goals of the individuals we support.
- Develop and track quality measures, reports, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives.
- Partner with program leadership to provide education, guidance, and follow-up when compliance or quality concerns are identified.
- Assist with incident review, risk management, and other quality-related processes.
- Maintain organized documentation within electronic systems and regulatory portals.
- Work closely with leadership across our Topeka, Eldorado, Winfield, and South Central Kansas Adult Services programs.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who can balance regulatory knowledge with a collaborative approach. The right person isn’t just focused on checking boxes—they understand that strong quality systems ultimately lead to better services and better outcomes for the people we support.
Ideal candidates will have:
- 5 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), HCBS programs, KDADS-regulated services, aging services, or other related programs.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance, licensing, compliance, documentation, or regulatory processes.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with employees and leadership at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify trends and develop practical solutions.
- Comfort working independently and managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Ability to travel to other Capper Foundation locations, including Eldorado and Winfield, as needed.
- Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office/Excel, electronic documentation systems, regulatory portals, and other web-based systems. Experience with Therap and KDADS systems is a plus.
- Bachelor of Science or Associate degree is preferred.
