In-House Mortgage Loan Officer Opportunities
On-Site Only, No Remote or Hybrid Positions
We are a recruiting firm currently hiring Loan Officers for two established mortgage industry clients:
- A federally chartered bank (also brokers loans - yes, they broker out loans)
- A hybrid mortgage broker and lender offering both retail and wholesale lending options
These are separate employment opportunities. Qualified applicants may be considered for one or both companies based on their experience, licensing, production background, and career goals.
Position Schedule:
Monday through Friday - 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
These positions are exclusively for in-house Loan Officers working from the employer’s office. These are not remote or hybrid opportunities. Applicants must be able to report to the office and work their assigned schedule on-site.
Licensing Preference:
Candidates who hold both of the following licenses are strongly preferred and will receive priority consideration:
- Active California DRE Salesperson License
- Active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator License
Having both an active DRE Salesperson License and an active NMLS license is a major advantage for these positions.
Newly licensed Loan Officers, experienced originators, and applicants who are new to the mortgage industry are encouraged to apply.
We Provide Leads:
Unlike many mortgage companies, our clients provide Loan Officers with leads and opportunities to speak directly with prospective borrowers.

Job Overview:
We are seeking motivated, energetic, and sales-driven Loan Officers to join our clients’ in-house mortgage teams.
These opportunities are open to both new and experienced mortgage professionals. You will help borrowers purchase homes, refinance existing mortgages, access home equity, and obtain financing for residential and investment properties.
You will have access to a broad range of traditional, government, Non-QM, investment, bridge, construction, and alternative financing programs.
Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment, making outbound calls, responding to inbound inquiries, consistently following up with leads, and working toward individual production goals.

Loan programs, credit-score requirements, loan amounts, property eligibility, and underwriting terms are subject to investor requirements, employer guidelines, borrower qualifications, licensing, and applicable federal and state law.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contact prospective borrowers through internet leads, inbound calls, live transfers, database opportunities, and outbound prospecting
- Identify borrowers’ financial goals and recommend appropriate mortgage programs
- Take complete and accurate residential mortgage loan applications when properly licensed and authorized
- Review credit reports, income documents, bank statements, asset statements, and property information
- Analyze borrower qualifications and identify potential loan options
- Explain mortgage terms, interest rates, estimated payments, closing costs, and documentation requirements
- Use the employer’s Loan Origination System, CRM, and mortgage technology
- Maintain consistent follow-up with new and existing prospects
- Manage active borrowers throughout the mortgage process
- Maintain detailed notes and accurate records of all communications
- Work closely with processors, Loan Officer Assistants, underwriters, closers, compliance personnel, and management
- Assist borrowers with satisfying documentation and underwriting conditions
- Develop referral relationships with real estate agents, builders, accountants, attorneys, financial professionals, and other business partners
- Generate repeat business and referrals through responsive and professional service
- Follow employer policies and all applicable mortgage lending regulations
- Comply with Fair Housing requirements, TILA, RESPA, ECOA, privacy requirements, advertising standards, and other applicable laws
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Loan Originator, banker, lending professional, or financial salesperson is preferred but not required
- Active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator License is strongly preferred
- Active California DRE Salesperson License is strongly preferred
- Applicants holding both an active DRE Salesperson License and active NMLS license are highly preferred
- Strong sales, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable making outbound calls and following up consistently with leads
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, in-office environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate mortgage terms clearly and professionally
- Basic understanding of credit, income, assets, liabilities, and debt-to-income ratios is preferred
- Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, Non-QM, DSCR, Bank Statement, or alternative-documentation lending is a plus
- Experience with Loan Origination Systems, CRMs, mortgage software, or financial technology is preferred
- Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, Fair Housing, TILA, RESPA, and mortgage compliance requirements is a plus
- Ability to maintain accurate records and protect confidential consumer information
- Dependable, coachable, motivated, and focused on achieving production goals
New to the Mortgage Industry?
Applicants who are new to mortgage lending and are not currently licensed may still be considered for employment.
Unlicensed applicants who are hired will be required to begin the licensing process and obtain all required licenses within 90 days of starting employment, subject to employer requirements and applicable law.
Until properly licensed and authorized, an unlicensed employee may only perform duties legally permitted for an unlicensed employee. An unlicensed employee may not take mortgage applications, offer or negotiate loan terms, or engage in activities requiring an NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator license.
Continued employment in a Loan Officer position may be contingent upon obtaining and maintaining all required licenses, registrations, and employer approvals.

Compensation is based on the applicant’s:
- Mortgage lending experience
- Licensing status
- Production history
- Sales background
- Assigned position
- Employer placement
Compensation may include hourly plus commissions, commission only with guaranteed hourly as a recoverable draw from future commissions, hourly or base compensation, commissions, production bonuses, performance incentives, and employer-provided lead opportunities.
Specific compensation terms will be discussed during the interview process and provided in the selected employer’s written compensation agreement.

Pay: $63,625.80 - $376,624.63 per year
