THE POSITION

The Stock Clerk 2 position at Torrance State Hospital offers a chance to support a busy facility that depends on accurate and well-organized storeroom operations. Your work helps ensure supplies reach the right areas on time and in good condition. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports the storeroom operations of Torrance State Hospital by receiving goods, organizing storage areas, and keeping accurate inventory records. It involves steady coordination with staff and careful handling of supplies to meet facility needs. As a Stock Clerk 2, you will perform the following duties:

Storage Organization: Develop storage methods and arrange bins for efficient use of space
Inventory Records: Maintain accurate records for purchases, receipts, and supply usage
Receiving Duties: Receive, examine, and store goods while verifying quantities and specifications
Requisition Processing: Prepare and fill departmental requisitions and update inventory systems
Shipment Handling: Assemble outgoing shipments and assist in loading and unloading materials
Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts or hand trucks to move heavy or oversized supplies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work; and graduation from high school; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
