Assistant Controller
Compensation: $130,000 – $150,000 + Bonus
Location: Newington, CT area

Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Controller:

Oversee and manage monthly close across multiple entities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
Manage internal controls and annual assessments across US and Canadian operations
Partner with cross-functional leadership to improve processes and support business initiatives
Oversee treasury activities, including disbursements and wire approvals
Serve as primary liaison for internal and external audits

Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
5–7 years of experience in public accounting (Manager level) or in a product-based industry (manufacturing/distribution)
Proven experience leading or managing accounting staff
Strong systems experience; ERP implementation exposure highly preferred
