POSITION AT A GLANCE
Location: Field-Based – This role will cover Susquehanna County, along the Pennsylvania and New York border
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday 8:00am to :30pm
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an Expert-Level Field Service Technician, you will operate independently at customer job sites, delivering high-quality diagnostics and repairs while representing the Hunter Truck brand. Responsibilities include:
➤ Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and HVAC system issues
➤ Perform major component repairs and complete overhauls with precision and efficiency
➤ Accurately interpret customer concerns and identify root causes of malfunctions
➤ Execute repairs in accordance with dealership and OEM standards
➤ Communicate proactively with service and parts departments to ensure workflow efficiency
➤ Identify and communicate additional repair needs, delays, or changes in scope
➤ Document all work performed, including diagnostic cases (Cummins, MX, ABS, etc.)
➤ Maintain productivity above 80% and efficiency above 95%
➤ Perform road tests and post-repair inspections to ensure quality and safety
➤ Manage warranty parts, including tagging and tracking back to the dealership
➤ Maintain service truck inventory, tools, and cleanliness
➤ Assist other technicians with complex repairs when needed
➤ Stay current with OEM training, technical bulletins, and certifications
➤ Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
➤ Deliver a professional, customer-focused experience at every job site
WHAT YOU BRING
◆ Education & Experience: 5+ years of heavy-duty or automotive technician experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination). Vocational or technical training preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience). Prior experience as a B-Class technician or higher strongly preferred.
◆ Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards. CDL Class B or higher required.

- ASE Certifications
- Medium/Heavy Truck Drive Train Certification
- HVAC Certification (Medium/Heavy Truck)
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification (Class 7)
- MX Engine Certification
- Cummins Medium Duty & Heavy Duty Certifications
◆ Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly stand, walk; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally lift/move more than 100 pounds.
