Full Job Description

Lead Countertop Fabricator / Shop Lead
Exact Tops

Exact Tops is expanding its countertop fabrication operation and is looking for an experienced Lead Countertop Fabricator / Shop Lead.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows stone fabrication and can help organize daily shop operations, maintain quality standards, and keep production moving.

Responsibilities

Operate bridge saw and countertop fabrication equipment
Fabricate granite, quartz, marble, and other stone countertop materials
Layout slabs and optimize material use
Plan seams, cuts, sink openings, and edge details
Perform sink cutouts, polishing, and edge finishing
Review templates, drawings, and measurements before fabrication
Coordinate material flow, inventory, tooling, and supplies
Maintain quality control before tops leave the shop
Follow and enforce shop safety procedures, PPE, and safe material handling
Coordinate with installers, sales, and project staff to meet deadlines
Organize daily shop workflow
Train and mentor helpers and additional fabrication staff as the operation grows
Help establish practical shop standards and procedures

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of countertop fabrication experience
Strong experience with granite, quartz, and marble
Bridge saw experience required
Strong polishing, sink cutout, and edge-finishing skills
Ability to read templates, drawings, and measurements
Experience with material handling, A-frames, carts, clamps, and forklifts
Ability to organize work and keep production moving
Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality
Reliable, practical, and solution-focused

Preferred

Experience as a lead fabricator or shop lead
Installation experience
Templating experience
CNC or automated bridge saw experience
Forklift certification
Experience training or supervising others

Compensation

Base salary: $80,000 – $105,000, based on experience and capability.

Plus performance bonus and leadership growth opportunities.

Compensation structure designed to reward production, efficiency, quality, and leadership.

About the Opportunity

This is not just a fabricator position. We are looking for someone who can help build a countertop production operation from the ground up.

The right person will have real responsibility, room to grow, and the opportunity to become the key production lead for Exact Tops.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
