Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking Machinists with 1+ years of Machining or Machine operation. Will get paid based on knowledge of Machining. Willing to work with any Machining background.

Duties: (If you don't have all we still want to talk to you)

Set up and operate Machines to produce parts with tight tolerances.
Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining specifications.
Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM software such as CAD/CAM programs like SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
Perform machine calibration, alignment, and adjustments to ensure optimal operation and precision.
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments for quality control purposes.
Execute machine setups including tool changes, fixture installation, and parameter adjustments based on blueprint specifications.
Perform CNC quality inspections by verifying dimensions with measurement instruments and ensuring compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols during machining operations.
Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
Assist with assembly tasks when required using hand tools and power tools to complete finished components.

Experience

Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC mills, CNC lathes, or CNC grinding equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is highly desirable.
Proficiency in CAM programming software along with SolidWorks or other CAD programs for designing and programming parts.
Ability to read mechanical blueprints accurately and interpret complex technical drawings.
Familiarity with M-code, G-code programming languages used in CNC machining operations.
Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining tools, measurement techniques, GD&T principles, and quality inspection methods.
Experience with manual machining processes including lathe work, grinding, drilling, boring using bore gauges or bore micrometers.
Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during setup and inspection phases.
Knowledge of safety standards related to machine setup, operation, and maintenance of metalworking equipment.
