Full Job Description

ASSISTANT PRODUCTION PLANNER / ASSISTANT BUYER

Coilhose Pneumatics of East Brunswick, NJ, a leading manufacturer of pneumatics accessories, has an immediate opening for an Assistant Production Planner to support materials management in manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient production flow, accurate scheduling, and effective coordination across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma required (Associate’s degree in a related field preferred)
1-3 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis, reporting)
Solid understanding of production planning concepts, including MRP systems.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities include:

Generate and analyze MRP (Material Requirements Planning) reports to create and release work orders in alignment with production strategies.
Coordinate the release and distribution of work orders to the shop floor.
Monitor and report on work-in-process, finished goods, and purchased materials.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials and production activities between departments to meet production schedules.
Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to relevant teams.
Collaborate with supervisors and department leads to track production progress and completion dates.
Compile and maintain production reports on inventory levels, costs, and operational challenges.
Assist Senior Buyer to source supplies, expedite POs, place and track POs.
Process PO requisitions from Engineering, Production and Office.
Maintain final storage for Engineering Change Notices.

Pay range $56,000-$62,000 annual
