Full Job Description

Creative Concrete & Excavating, Inc. is seeking a dependable and highly organized Accounting and Administrative Assistant to support our accounting, billing, and general office operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, paperwork, spreadsheets, and detailed administrative processes.

Schedule

Approximately 25 hours per week, primarily during normal weekday business hours. A consistent Monday-through-Friday schedule is preferred. Additional hours may occasionally be available based on workload.

Primary Responsibilities

- Accounting and Billing Support

Enter and organize tickets, invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.
Assist with customer billing and accounts receivable.
Help review billing information for completeness and accuracy.
Assist with basic accounts payable tasks as assigned.
Sort company credit card receipts and match them to invoices, statements, or supporting documentation.
Enter financial and operational information into accounting systems and spreadsheets.
Assist with reconciliations, reports, and other basic accounting projects.
Maintain organized records supporting accounting transactions.

- Administrative and Office Support

Sort, scan, file, copy, and organize documents.
Create physical and electronic folders.
Maintain organized accounting, employee, vendor, and operational files.
Assist with recurring reports, filings, and document preparation.
Answer phones and greet office visitors as needed.
Help with general office organization and miscellaneous administrative projects.
Learn the company’s scheduling process and provide backup coverage when another employee is absent.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfortable working with numbers, paperwork, and repetitive data-entry tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including entering and organizing data, formatting spreadsheets, sorting and filtering information, and using basic formulas.
Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and changing priorities.
Professional communication skills.
Dependable attendance and the ability to work independently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding employee, payroll, customer, and financial information.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous accounting, bookkeeping, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or administrative experience.
Education or training in accounting, business administration, bookkeeping, or a related field.
Experience with QuickBooks.
Experience working in a construction, trucking, service, or similarly fast-paced business environment.
Experience assisting with employee onboarding or company benefits administration.

Position Details

Training will be provided on company-specific procedures and systems.

The ideal candidate will be organized, willing to learn, and comfortable asking questions.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
