Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

Prepare and chop vegetables, carbs, and proteins according to recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the preparation of sauces, dressings, and other components necessary for menu items.
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with Kitchen Manager and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation for catering events or restaurant service.
Follow menu planning guidelines while being flexible to adapt to changes or special requests.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
Culinary training or relevant certifications are a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
