Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with established accounting principles. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our financial processes and will involve collaboration with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data management.

Duties

Perform general accounting tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations in all accounting practices.
Utilize financial software for data entry and reporting.
Maintain accurate records of payroll management and assist in payroll processing.
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Qualifications

Proven experience in corporate accounting or a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial concepts.
Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation and credit analysis techniques.
Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is a plus.
Experience using Reynolds & Reynolds or similar financial software is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with relevant experience.
