SUMMARY: The overall responsibility of an Ice Cream Maker is to ensure the store is adequately stocked with ice cream, yogurt, sherbet and ice on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Produce ice cream, yogurt, sherbet, ice
2. Maintain cleanliness of work area
3. Possess working knowledge of ice cream making equipment, Training will also be provided
4. Clean & sanitize ice cream making equipment
5. Complete flavor sheet daily
6. Scoop ice cream on an as-needed basis
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Employee may provide leadership to other employees who are being trained to make ice cream.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must possess well-developed verbal skills sufficient to communicate effectively with employees and customers as needed.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must possess math skills sufficient to complete paperwork, comprehend recipes and adjust measurements as needed.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: The position of Ice Cream Maker requires organization, cleanliness and attention to detail.

Employee must possess or develop both the manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to scoop and portion all of our retail and wholesale products, most times without the aid of measuring devices, due to the volume of sales we may encounter.
Employee must be able to maneuver in a tight and sometimes congested working environment, both quickly and without creating a hazard.
Position requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
