Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic assistant baker to join our brand new team as we prepare to open to the public! In this role, you will support the daily operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and customer satisfaction. Your energy and passion for food will help create delightful experiences for our customers, whether through expertly created croissants, beautiful baked goods, or exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while contributing to a fun and fast-paced kitchen setting.

Duties

Assist in pastry preparation, including baking, laminating, and assembling a variety of baked goods and pastries.
Handle packaging of finished products with care to maintain freshness and presentation quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards.
Aid in food handling procedures, including proper storage, ingredient measurement, and portioning.
Contribute to food production tasks for catering events or restaurant service, ensuring timely delivery.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items and assisting with product selection when needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a food industry setting such as a bakery, restaurant, or catering environment is highly preferred.
Hands-on pastry experience including baking, and food preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as mixers, knives, ovens, and other tools.
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on baking, food presentation, and creative thinking.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
