Position Summary: Build a thriving practice from the ground up as an independent business owner, backed by the strength and stability of a Fortune 500 company. At Northwestern Mutual, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping individuals, families, and business owners gain financial security and peace of mind. You will start your journey focused on client acquisition and professional licensing before stepping fully into the advisor role.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition: Grow your client base through networking, community engagement, and leveraging a strong referral network.
Holistic Financial Planning: Design personalized financial strategies incorporating asset and income protection, retirement solutions, investment advisory services, and education funding.
Relationship Management: Guide clients through every stage of life, adjusting plans as their needs and goals evolve.
Practice Building: Execute a strategic business plan with the flexibility to shape your own workday and long-term professional vision.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong entrepreneurial ambition and desire to run your own practice.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities.
High motivation, organization, and time-management skills.
No prior finance or sales experience is required—career changers, former athletes, and military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Training, Licensing & Support

Licensing Support: Full company support, study materials, and cost coverage/reimbursement for required Life/Accident & Health licenses, Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), and Series 6, 7, and 63 exams.
Designations: Ongoing mentorship and backing for advanced credentials like the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification.

Compensation & Benefits

Uncapped Earnings Potential: Performance-based revenue structure featuring first-year commissions, renewal income, bonuses, and expense allowances. Average first-3-years representative earnings range from $61,000 to $119,000, with top quartile advisors earning $137,000 to $250,000+.
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and disability income insurance options.
Retirement Package: Fully company-funded retirement package and pension plan.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
