Full Job Description

Position Summary Utilizing creative methods, effectively promote the College to a variety of audiences to support enrollment at the College. The Associate Director will act as a mentor and trainer to other staff members in areas of student recruitment and the use of Slate CRM. This includes advocating with prospective students, counseling and advising as well as obtaining and processing the materials required for admission. They will independently oversee special student cohort populationrecruitment and liaise with respective academic programs and cross-campus collaborators as assigned that impact overall College enrollment and financial success. This position may supervise student workers or support staff.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Represent the College at various on and off campus recruitment events geared to attract potential students and conducted at high schools and colleges, and through community partners, within 50 miles of the College. Events include college fairs, high school visits as well as campus-based activities including instant admission days, open houses, during occasional after hours and weekend schedules.
Oversee the admission process for special student cohorts, such as former/returning students, transfer students, or graduate students, and liaise across academic and College departments to ensure policy compliance, record keeping, and appropriate communication channels for these dedicated groups.
Document, organize, and train admissions staff on the application review process and prospective student communication flow. Create and utilize tools to ensure timeliness, completeness, and inclusion of student engagement and follow through to optimize student user experience and conversions.
Counsel and advise prospective students on admission criteria / program requirements / transfer policies / pathways of study and assist with financial aid processes and faculty advisement, often working directly with financial aid staff and College faculty.
Using College databases, track student progress, engagement, and communications; evaluate applications and required documentation for acceptance and accept appropriate students for admission following standard practices and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

Availability for occasional weekly evening hours and monthly weekend hours as needed.
Carry out other duties commensurate with the level of the position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with students, College staff and faculty.
Understanding of FERPA as related to confidentiality of student records.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, environment.

Technology Skills:

Intermediate competency in Windows operating environment using MS Office applications (particularly Outlook, Teams Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), e-mail, and web-based databases.
Student Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database (such as Slate) and Student Information System (SIS) experience.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required.
Demonstrated recruitment and business acumen developed from at least three years of progressively more responsibility in a higher education office of admissions.
Experience working with a diverse student population and underrepresented groups.

Salary: $62,400 to $72,000 (based on experience)
