Position Summary
The Spray Foam Installer is responsible for safely and efficiently installing spray polyurethane foam insulation while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a variety of construction environments.

Duties
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers to ensure secure access and compliance with safety protocols.
- Mix and apply spray foam insulation accurately following work orders.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to cut, shape, and install insulation materials efficiently.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team members to fabricate or modify insulation components as needed for complex or custom applications.
- Communicate effectively with clients and Estimator/ Project Manager regarding progress, challenges, or adjustments needed during installation.
Skills
- Construction estimating experience helps in understanding project scope and material needs.
- Proficiency in ladder use, climbing, and working at heights ensures safe access to elevated work areas.
- Mechanical knowledge supports troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and scaffolding enhances productivity on-site.
- Strong understanding of building insulation installation techniques across various materials like spray foam, drywall or metal studs.
- Basic math skills are essential for ensuring precise application of materials.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems or roofing can be advantageous for specialized insulation projects.
- Experience with construction site safety protocols ensures a secure working environment for all team members.
- Effective client communication skills help in clarifying project details and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install open-cell and closed-cell spray foam insulation according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Prepare jobsites by masking, protecting surfaces, and staging materials.
- Operate spray foam proportioning equipment, spray guns, generators, compressors, and other jobsite equipment.
- Read work orders, and project specifications.
- Maintain proper spray techniques to ensure consistent thickness, adhesion, and quality.
- Perform quality control inspections throughout each project.
- Complete daily equipment cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Load and unload trucks with materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
- Communicate with crew leaders, project managers, and customers professionally.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with batt, blow-in, vapor barriers, and other insulation services when needed.
- Travel to projects throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington, including occasional overnight travel.
Qualifications Required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly.
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, lifts, attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Strong work ethic and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to travel when required.
Preferred
- Previous spray foam insulation experience.
- Construction or insulation experience.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Forklift, boom lift, or scissor lift certification.
- Experience operating spray foam equipment.
