Full Job Description

Position Description:

The Site Surveyor Manager manages field survey operations for residential solar projects. This role is essential in ensuring that accurate site assessments are completed efficiently, enabling precise solar system designs and smooth installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction or solar site surveying, with proven project management skills and technical expertise.

Reporting Relationship:

This position reports to the VP of Construction

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Work with a team of residential solar site surveyor technicians ensuring timely and accurate completion of site assessments.
Coordinate and facilitate the Site Survey Schedule to ensure site surveys are completed efficiently and at the scheduled time
Anticipate schedule risks and develop mitigation plans to keep surveys on schedule
Dispatch surveyors across multiple residential solar project sites and train surveyors on the use of solar-specific tools and software
Consult with sales representatives, site survey employees, and contracted site surveyors to ensure an adequate number of site survey times are accessible within service level
Communicate with customers, providing updates as needed, as well as site surveyors and sales representatives to ensure the survey is completed at a convenient time
Collaborate with design, engineering, and installation teams to ensure survey data supports accurate system design and permitting.
Monitor the Site Survey Schedule hourly to identify, and quickly resolve, potential schedule conflicts due to drive time or staffing issues
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, communication, and task completion in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Ensure standards and requirements are met through quality assurance auditing
Document scheduling processes
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Demonstrate a customer service approach with timely follow up
Understanding of project management methodologies
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and deliver high quality work
Learn quickly and adapt to change within processes and applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills

Education/Experience Requirements

Minimum of three years scheduling/dispatching field technicians, customer service, or project management required
Strong knowledge of site survey activities and subsequent facilitation
Intermediate computer skills required (i.e., Google, Microsoft, CRM)

Physical Requirements

On a normal workday, the employee is required to constantly stand, sit, and walk; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; infrequently squat, kneel, reach above shoulder level, and lift from high/low position; bend, push, or pull. Constant use of hands required for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and/or typing.
