Nurse Manager Postpartum and Antepartum opportunity: lead with heart and high reliability at a dynamic Southern Arizona hospital where maternal-newborn excellence, innovation, and compassionate teamwork make every shift inspiring!

Within the Postpartum service—closely connected to Antepartum and the Mother Baby continuum—the Nurse Manager Postpartum and Antepartum will guide a unit built for family-centered healing and efficient throughput, anchored by 30+ beds, baby friendly designated, lactation consultants 7 days a week, 24 hour ob coverage, full RN staff, and a collaborative interdisciplinary team that includes lactation experts, case management, social work, pharmacy, and experienced perinatalists who champion safe, seamless transitions from high-acuity birthing experiences to confident discharges.

Reporting to a seasoned Director of Women’s and Children’s Services, the Nursing Manager Mother Baby will be supported by charge RNs, educators, and a data-savvy quality partner; responsibilities include staffing and scheduling, clinical coaching and precepting, policy compliance, budget stewardship, quality and safety initiatives (falls, HAI prevention, perinatal core measures), maternal-newborn education planning, patient experience rounding, and physician partnership, all while cultivating friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team who thrive in a Just Culture and contribute ideas through councils and frontline-driven improvement.
