Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a customer service minded individual who excels at building client relationships through both their verbal and written communication skills. Our ideal candidate must have strong phone skills, demonstrating the company’s commitment to quality. This person must have the ability to meet the customer’s needs while also meeting the company’s requirements, have good organizational skills, a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs. and be an effective multi-tasker. The Logistics Coordinator assists the Operations department in end-to-end shipment management, ensuring the highest level of on-time performance as well as first-class customer service. Our Logistics Coordinator will also be responsible for tracking/tracing and ensuring on time pick-up/delivery schedules.

Essential Duties:

· Prioritize time sensitive cargo from origin to destination.

· Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments.

· Update shipment tracking system and maintain timely data integrity.

· Assist in arranging booking with carriers that include airfreight, truckloads and LTL.

· Assist in the monitoring of transportation routes to improve safety and efficiency through a thorough knowledge of the company policies.

· Works with drivers and co-workers in resolution of problem situations.

· Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

· Maintains communication with drivers via telephone and email.

· Promotes safety practices for all transportation employees.

· Assists the Operations team in maintaining key performance indicators such as on time performance, cost improvement initiatives, and overall client satisfaction.

· Alerts the clients when changes occur

· Is available for emergency situations and/or special projects as assigned.

· Will perform all the other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Some college or equivalent work experience

· 2 – 3 years Customer Service experience

· Transportation/Logistics experience a plus

· Transportation software knowledge a plus, Logistics or Supply Chain Management work experience a plus

· Experience dealing with high volume data entry

· Experience adapting with customer’s needs with first call resolution

· Clean Background check is a must due to Dept. of Homeland Security requirements

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 am – 7:00 pm

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
