Senior Accounting Manager – Family Office & Multi-Entity Portfolio

Location: Office is on the Northwest side of Tucson | Type: Full-Time
Salary band: $95,000 -105,000.00

About the Role

The Senior Accounting Manager role is a hands-on accounting leader responsible for executing the day-to-day accounting while also serving as the primary financial point of contact for ownership. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting operations and work alongside our small accounting team.

This position will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and build scalable processes while supporting strategic decision-making across the enterprise. Duties include communicating financial activity and results to cross-functional groups and executive leadership. The role will collaborate with our third-party partner, Fintrepid Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly close process, strict adherence to closing deadlines

Oversee real estate portfolio accounting across property types

Manage and actively perform full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, including general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, and consolidations

Prepare and organize financial statements, trial balances, and supporting schedules for multiple entities

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies

Manage intercompany transactions and joint venture accounting across a multi-entity family office structure, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and appropriate treatment across entities

Manage and oversee cash flow and liquidity across multiple entities, including intercompany transfers, funding needs, and daily cash positioning

Serve as the primary liaison with external CPAs, managing communication and coordination for tax filings and audits

Manage and mentor accounting team (4 staff directly or indirectly involved with accounting operations)

Implement internal controls and process improvements

Provide financial insights to leadership and support strategic decisions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred)
7-10 years of progressive accounting experience; 3+ years supervisor experience
Experience in real estate and multi-entity environments required
Property management accounting preferred)
Family office or closely held business experience preferred
Knowledge of GAAP, ERP systems, and financial reporting
Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
