Job Summary

A well-established public accounting firm in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced CPA Tax Specialist or EA (Enrolled Agent) for a direct hire opportunity within its Tax Department. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys preparing complex individual, business, trust, estate, and gift tax returns while serving as a trusted resource for clients and internal team members.

This opportunity offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment with supportive leadership, ongoing training, continuing education support, and opportunities for professional growth and leadership development. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax knowledge, excellent client service skills, and a commitment to accuracy, professionalism, and long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare individual, business, trust, estate, and gift tax returns, including multi-state income tax filings.
Conduct quarterly tax planning for individual and business clients.
Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness before tax preparation.
Research and resolve tax questions, notices, and compliance issues involving federal, state, and local taxing authorities.
Communicate with clients, taxing authorities, and internal team members to support timely and accurate tax compliance.
Serve as a tax resource to clients and colleagues by providing guidance on income tax matters.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year.
Direct hire opportunity.
