Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. We would love someone who is familar with Open Dental. We would also like to find someone with dental experience. We are a very busy office and need someone to hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front office operations of our dental practice. This role requires proficiency in medical office management and familiarity with dental procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience from scheduling appointments to handling insurance claims.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
Schedule and confirm appointments using Open Dental software.
Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with care plans and provide information to patients regarding their treatment options.
Handle phone systems efficiently, addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
Process medical collections and manage billing inquiries.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
Requirements
Previous experience in a dental practice is required.
Familiarity with Open Dental or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Knowledge of medical office management practices, including handling phone systems and managing patient records.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Understanding of medical coding principles is beneficial but not required.
