Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Drywall Taper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience finishing drywall, applying joint compound, sanding, and preparing surfaces for paint to achieve a high-quality finish on commercial construction projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Apply joint compound to drywall seams, corners, and fastener locations.
- Tape, mud, and finish drywall surfaces to a smooth, paint-ready finish.
- Apply multiple coats of compound and sand between coats as needed.
- Repair imperfections and ensure finished surfaces meet quality standards.
- Inspect completed work and make necessary corrections.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas.
- Work closely with drywall installers, painters, and project teams.
- Follow all company safety policies and jobsite safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of drywall finishing/taping experience preferred.
- Knowledge of drywall finishing materials, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to read and follow project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift, carry, and work with construction materials and equipment.
- Reliable transportation and regular attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
