Job Summary:

Tucson Orthopaedic Institute is seeking an Foot & Ankle Surgeon to join our practice based in our Tucson offices.

This is a practice made up of 40+ physicians and surgeons across 6 locations and is Southern Arizona’s largest and most established physician-led orthopedic group.

Since 1994, the Board-certified physicians of Tucson Orthopaedic Institute have been setting the highest standard for orthopaedic care in Southern Arizona. Our goal has been to consistently deliver world-class care and successful outcomes. Over three decades later, we have grown into the largest and most comprehensive, private orthopaedic practice in the Tucson area.

Requirements:

Education and Licensure:

Board certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery or Podiatric Medicine & Surgery
Fellowship training in Foot & Ankle preferred
Clear and active medical license in the respective state (or willingness to obtain licensure)

Experience:

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment
Experience managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions
Strong triage, diagnostic, and multitasking skills

Skills:

Strong working knowledge of orthopedic and foot and ankle conditions and disorders
Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
Patient-centered approach with strong empathy and bedside manner
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education

Physical Requirements:

Hearing adequate to perform job duties in person and via telephone
Clear verbal communication skills for patient and team interactions
Visual acuity sufficient for reading electronic medical records and printed materials
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 10 pounds unassisted
Frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, and repetitive hand movements throughout the workday
