Full Job Description

Join our winning team! Southwest Shoulder Elbow & Hand Center has been the Reader's Choice Best Orthopaedic Practice for 4 years in row! Our busy physician medical office is seeking to fill an immediate opening for a full-time Front Desk Receptionist at our North Oracle and Magee office. Shifts would range Mon-Fri between the hours of 7a-6p.

Position Summary:

Responsibilities as an experienced front desk receptionist include greeting and checking patient in and out for their scheduled appointments; collecting patient responsibility in the form of co-pays, deductibles and co-insurances for all visits; chart preparation for future visits; verifying insurance eligibility and providing surgery estimates.

We are looking for a dependable and professional candidates who are a friendly 'people person' that is able to handle multi-tasking and working in a fast paced environment. Position serves as a liaison between patient and clinical staff as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience in a medical office required, a minimum of 1 year preferred. Previous experience working with medical insurances and an established understanding of eligibility and benefits.

Specific Skills: Computer literate, typing skills, accuracy, and accountability, proficient in using Excel and MS Word. We are an equal opportunity employer.
