Part-Time NP/PA – Primary Care, Weight Loss & Hormone Therapy

Location: Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Flexible schedule; initially 2 days per week, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

About Us
Our Broken Arrow clinic is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and collaborative Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and Medical Assistants. This provider will play an important role in delivering comprehensive primary care services while also supporting patients with weight management, metabolic health, and hormone-related conditions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys building long-term patient relationships and helping patients improve their health through a combination of medical management, preventive care, education, and lifestyle-based treatment strategies. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a team-based outpatient environment and has a strong interest in helping patients address concerns such as obesity, insulin resistance, thyroid dysfunction, menopause-related symptoms, low testosterone, fatigue, and other metabolic or hormone-related issues.

The role is primarily clinic-based and in person, but the provider should also be comfortable conducting telehealth visits when clinically appropriate during inclement weather or other circumstances that make travel to the clinic unsafe or impractical.

Position Summary
This Advanced Practice Provider will provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting, managing both general primary care and a focused population of patients seeking support with weight management, metabolic wellness, and hormone optimization. The provider will work collaboratively with the clinical team to develop individualized treatment plans that are safe, evidence-based, and aligned with each patient’s medical needs and goals.

The ideal candidate is confident in patient assessment, chronic disease management, preventive services, documentation, and patient counseling. We are looking for a provider who values both quality care and patient relationship-building.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, medication review, and risk assessment
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions commonly seen in primary care
Order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with obesity, insulin resistance, prediabetes, diabetes, thyroid concerns, menopause-related symptoms, symptoms related to hormonal imbalance in men, metabolic syndrome, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and other chronic conditions
Provide evidence-based counseling on nutrition, exercise, weight loss strategies, sleep, stress reduction, and lifestyle modification
Prescribe and monitor appropriate medications for weight management and metabolic support, when clinically indicated and within scope of practice
Evaluate patients with hormone-related concerns and manage treatment within scope, clinic protocols, and applicable regulations
Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, medication use, expectations, and follow-up care
Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, specialists, and other members of the care team
Perform minor in-office procedures consistent with training and scope of practice, including joint injections, aspirations, and other routine office procedures
Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation
Support compliance with clinic policies and applicable prescribing regulations
Participate in telehealth visits when appropriate and clinically indicated

Qualifications

Required

Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Oklahoma
Active Oklahoma prescriptive authority, as applicable
Active DEA registration
Active Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (OBNDD) registration
Strong clinical, communication, patient education, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team

Preferred

National certification as FNP, AGNP, WHNP, or NCCPA-certified PA
Experience in primary care, internal medicine, weight management, endocrinology, women’s health, or metabolic health
Familiarity with GLP-1 medications, thyroid management, hormone-related lab interpretation, and lifestyle-based care
Experience with compounded medications or hormone-related therapies is a plus
Interest in preventive care, wellness, and long-term patient relationship building

Schedule

Part-time position
Flexible schedule
Initial schedule of 2 days per week, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Opportunity to expand days and hours over time based on clinic growth, patient demand, and provider fit
Primarily in-person outpatient care, with occasional telehealth flexibility when appropriate

Compensation and Benefits

$65–$90 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and clinical background
